Biography

Paul Tuhy is Global Head of Claims for Insurance Operations. He has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience in increasingly senior claims management positions.

Paul joined the Insurance segment in 2003. He previously served as Head of Claims Operations for North America and Head of Claim Operations for Continental Europe and Asia.

Before joining XL Group, Paul held claims management positions with Kemper Insurance Company and Reliance National Insurance Company. In 1992, he established and managed the Blackmoor Group, Inc., the Third-Party Claim Administration subsidiary of Reliance National. He also owned and managed Consolidated Adjusters, a regional independent adjusting company in Tampa, Florida, that handled task assignments and catastrophe claims.

Paul attended the Ohio State University and the Ohio Highway Patrol Academy. He is currently Vice Chair of the American Insurance Association Claim Committee.
