Claims College

Overview

The insurance claims resolution profession is operating in an ever-evolving legal environment. Among the challenges confronting today’s professionals are new and expanded expectations regarding professional conduct as court decisions and statutes have transformed extra-contractual rights of action for insureds and third-party claimants. The curriculum and courses in the School of Extra-Contractual Claims are designed to educate claims resolution professionals from all lines of insurance by stimulating new and innovative thinking in this challenging environment. With emphasis on comprehensive claim and litigation management, our industry-leading instructors will assist students in understanding the various types of extra-contractual claims, including jurisdictional differences, as well as identifying tools to avoid them.

The School of Extra-Contractual Claims is a one-level program. Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will earn a Certificate in Extra-Contractual Claims. The School is required in order to earn the Advanced Claims Professional (ACP) designation.
