David has been defending insurers and their insureds throughout Ohio for 30 years. Prior to practicing law, he was employed in claims for a national insurance company. His areas of practice include insurance coverage litigation, products liability, business disputes, construction claims, complex litigation and business arbitrations. He has represented insurers in litigation concerning coverage and allocation of coverage for environmental claims, toxic torts, commercial and business property losses, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, and advertising and personal injury coverage.

David is admitted to practice in all Ohio Courts, all Federal District Courts in Ohio, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. David is a life member of the Eighth District Judicial Conference. He is a member of the American, Ohio State, Cleveland Metropolitan, Federal and Lake County Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, the Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, and the Justinian Forum.

David has also been selected by his peers as an "Ohio Super Lawyer," as published in Cincinnati Magazine and Northern Ohio Live Magazine each year since 2010 and one of "The Best Lawyers in America" publication annually since 2009.

Born in Ashtabula, he received his B.A. from Southern California College in 1980, and his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1985.

Andrew Isakoff

Andy recently joined Marshall Dennehey's Cleveland, OH office where he litigates a variery of disputes including Trucing, General Liability, Auto and various Insurance  cases. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University where he teaches Insurance Law.   He previously served as  the Director of Claims at Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. where he was responsible for the  nationwide  management of all claims and litigation  for the Consumer Liability Division.    He also  previously served as the  Director of Claims Services for National Interstate Insurance Company where he had enterprise wide responsibility for several functional areas, including  litigation/vendor management and  the selection and oversight of outside counsel. He also  served as the   Manager of National Interstate’s Alternative Risk Transfer (Captive) Claims Department.
 
Prior to joining National Interstate in 2012, Andy managed multiple House Counsel Offices for a national  carrier and maintained an active civil litigation practice which included defending cases in private passenger auto and commercial auto/trucking, as well as representing the company in declaratory judgment actions, bad faith cases and other matters. 
 
Andy also was with a Cleveland based AV rated law firm, where he litigated commercial and employment disputes. 
 
Andy is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, TIDA and CLM. Andy is a 1983 graduate of Bowling Green State University and earned his JD from the University of Toledo in 1986. He was certified as a Litigation Management Professional in 2015 by the Litigation Management Institute. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

He is a long-time friend of the CLM and a frequent industry speaker. He has been conducting the CLM's industry studies since 2012, has served as a Chancellor in the CLM's Litigation Management Institute, and as a Dean in the CLM's School of Litigation Management.

Taylor has more than 30 years of experience in using new technologies to improve processes for insurance, claims, and legal executives. Before founding his own company, Taylor held executive positions with ePolicy Solutions, CT TyMetrix, CaseKnowledge, and CaseRev. As a claims professional, Taylor served in various litigation management roles at MMI Companies, previously the nation’s second-largest healthcare facility underwriter, Norcal Mutual Insurance, and CNA Insurance Companies.

Jessica C. Smythe is a Medicare Secondary Payer compliance consultant with ISO Claims Partners. Prior to joining ISO Claims Partners, Jessica was a workers’ compensation defense attorney.

Jessica is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer on the subject of Medicare compliance, including the impact of Medicare compliance on claim handling and litigation management. She also writes a bimonthly column, “Medicare Matters,” for Claims Management Magazine and was awarded the designation of CLMP (Certified Litigation Management Professional) in October 2012. Jessica also holds the designation of CMSP (Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Act Professional). 

Jessica is a graduate of Meredith College and the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Campbell University. Daniel Winkler

Mr.  Winkler is responsible for overseeing Westfield Insurance’s litigation management and legal research support functions .  He has been a featured speaker and author on the topic of litigation management and the use of technology in enhancing the litigation management process, drawing upon both his experience as a practicing attorney and on his 20 plus years of experience in the claims and litigation management arena. The Westfield Claims Legal Department, which he leads, was recently honored as one of the ten most innovative legal departments in America by Inside Counsel magazine.

Mr. Winkler is an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, numerous professional organizations including the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the Defense Research Institute and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and currently serves as a member and advisor on a number of industry related committees.
