I am a partner in the Atlanta office of Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young LLP. As a litigator, I handle all phases of the litigation process for my clients, from pre-suit investigation and analysis through the litigation process to mediation and/or trial and, if necessary, appeal.
Based on my experience as a litigator, I believe that there is no such thing as "one size fits all" litigation strategy; getting the best outcome in any given case requires flexibility and creative thinking. I pride myself on my ability to examine a case critically and then present my client with available options so that my client can make the right choice for that particular client on each specific matter.
I advise and represent individuals and businesses of all types and sizes, ranging from international food and beverage manufacturers, electronics and medical equipment manufacturers, and nationwide trucking and logistics companies to individuals and property owners faced with litigation or other legal concerns. I represent my clients in a broad range of liability and litigation matters, including premises liability, personal injury and wrongful death matters, product liability, trucking and transportation law, and general property and casualty liability.
In every case, my primary focus is obtaining the best possible result for my client.
I am a member in good standing of the State Bar of Georgia. I am also a member of the Atlanta and DeKalb Bar Associations; the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM); and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). I presently serve as Vice Chair of the Premises Liability substantive law committee of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA).
Although most of my cases are in the metro Atlanta area, I have appeared in the courts of dozens of Georgia counties as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.
