Description

This course explains fundamental concepts associated with fraudulent insurance claims by first defining insurance fraud. It then discusses motives for insurance fraud, explains the difference between hard fraud and soft fraud, and describes the categories of insurance fraud. Using this foundation, the course then discusses the indicators of insurance fraud and the antifraud efforts undertaken by various entities and the government. It concludes by discussing the distinction between good faith and bad faith.
