Description
Every investigator worth her salt knows the value of in-person interaction with the witnesses and targets of an insurance fraud investigation. The Covid-19 Pandemic has seriously impacted both the criminal and civil insurance fraud investigator’s ability to get “out of the seat and into the street.” However, fraud continues to flourish and investigations must go on. We all know that “necessity is the mother of invention,” and this panel will discuss the many innovative techniques and creative solutions that have recently been utilized in civil and criminal investigations, prosecutions, and litigation. Not only has the Pandemic caused fraud fighters to change their protocols, but it has also fostered innovative fraud schemes, making it imperative for fraud professionals to be flexible and adaptive. This panel discussion will explore how the Pandemic has changed the landscape and whether some of these changes may be permanent.
