Richard A. Fuller is Actuarial Associate/Statistical Specialist for Claims, Information Technology, Corporate Actuarial, and Reinsurance at Arrowpoint Capital (formerly Royal & SunAlliance USA). Rich conducts research and data analysis supporting Claims, Reinsurance, Financial Accounting, Regulatory Compliance, Actuarial, and Internal Audit functions. In this role he provides analysis of workers compensation actuarial reserve estimates, monitors costs and disposition of the claims portfolio, provides analysis and data mining of reinsurance collection efforts, and develops the information technology infrastructure for management reporting.

Prior to his current role, Rich was Actuarial Associate/Statistical Specialist in the Company’s Personal Lines Division where he supported the pricing, underwriting, marketing, financial accounting, regulatory compliance and internal audit functions.

Rich has also held positions as MIS Manager in the Personal Lines Division, Senior Actuarial Analyst and Actuarial Programmer. Since beginning his career at Arrowpoint in 1986, he has gained vast knowledge and experience in personal lines, corporate actuarial, product actuarial and pricing.

Rich is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society. He earned his master’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his bachelor’s degree at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Kate Daly is the Casualty Practice Leader for XL Insurance (Bermuda), Ltd., responsible for investigation, reserving and resolution of casualty claims with potential exposure in excess of $5M, and also serves as XL's Global Litigation Manager responsible for reviewing all changes to XL's panel counsel list.
Prior to her transfer to Bermuda, Kate handled pollution and international products claims for eight years in XL's offices in Pennsylvania. Her previous insurance experience includes three years with CIGNA Corporation where she held the position of Marine Loss Control Specialist.
Kate is licensed lawyer, a former U.S. Coast Guard Officer, and a former merchant mariner, having begun her multi-faceted career long ago as an engineman on ARCO oil tankers. She received her law degree in 1992 from Northeastern University, a Masters in Marine Administration in 1987 from the University of Rhode Island, and a B.A. in Environmental Science in 1976 from East Stroudsburg State College in Pennsylvania. Currently, she and her small family are enjoying life in Bermuda and cruising over the numerous reefs there in a rather small but very seaworthy Boston Whaler.

Michael Caspino is one of the Founding Partners of Brady, Vorwerck, Ryder & Caspino.  His energy and tenacity has resulted in a solid reputation as an accomplished trial attorney.  He is licensed to practice in the states of California, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado.   

Published appellate opinions include the landmark case of National Union v. Nationwide Insurance Company, 69 Cal. App. 4th 709, which dealt with the extent of indemnity obligations in contracts.  In Olson v. Aztech, 120 Nev. 240, Mr. Caspino argued before the Nevada Supreme Court in the first appeal that dealt with the Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 40 statutory scheme for resolving residential construction defect claims. 

Mr. Caspino's litigation efforts have lead to a number of advantageous settlements on behalf of the firm's clients.  In one matter, he was lead counsel in a construction dispute involving over 6,000 apartment units in Nevada and Florida.  Mr. Caspino litigated and resolved multiple personal injury and property damage claims, throughout the country, related to a legionella outbreak at a Las Vegas timeshare resort.

Recently, Mr. Caspino was quoted in The Wall Street Journal, wherein he commented on legal liability relating to automated external defibrillators.

Ms. Ganiere currently works for McDermott International at its global headquarters supporting onshore and offshore projects in the Americas.  Formerly, she was onsite Senior Counsel with CB&I as a government contractor to build the Mixed Oxide (MOX) Fuel Fabrication Facility. The MOX Project, has since been terminated, was at the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site in South Carolina. 

Previously she was General Counsel of Oakland Enterprises (Gulf Stream Coach, Inc.), a privately-held consumer products manufacturing conglomerate located in the Midwest.  Formerly, Ms. Ganiere was Corporate Counsel for global commercial and consumer products manufacturer Champion Enterprises, Inc., and served as the advising attorney and negotiator of sponsor and media contracts for a professional extreme sport athlete (BMX) and his training center.  She also has served as Advising Counsel for select directors, producers and filmmakers.

Mr. Pierce’s litigation and trial experience includes a wide variation of complex national cases for insurance and non-insurance clients. While an in-house attorney, John was one of the earliest adopters of electronic invoicing technology, allowing him to aggregate invoice and performance metrics data, generate litigation management reports, evaluate the effectiveness of outside counsel, implement cost reduction strategies and evaluate internal staffing choices.

After completing a clerkship for a Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court John entered private practice concentrating on the defense of architects and engineers. After leaving private practice he held a variety of legal positions with national insurers in the areas of environmental coverage and litigation management, most recently as Chief Claims Counsel for OneBeacon where he had responsibility for staff counsel, panel counsel, coverage counsel, environmental and extra-contractual litigation. In 2010 John re-entered private practice as a partner with a national defense firm where he concentrated on national program management, insurance coverage and general liability litigation and in 2013 he was appointed General Counsel for the CLM. Erin Gleason Alvarez serves as Director of Legal Strategies for AIG, where she has worked for six years.  Erin oversees the development and implementation of corporate initiatives to reduce legal costs, including Alternative Dispute Resolution and Alternative Fee Agreement programs.  Erin is an active member of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), where she serves on the Executive Advisory Committee and Mediation Committee.  In January 2008, she was honored by CPR with an award for her article, “International Arbitral Appeals: What Are We So Afraid Of?”  Erin is a member of the adjunct faculty for the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law, where she also received an L.L.M. in Dispute Resolution in 2006. Prior to her studies, Erin practiced commercial and employment litigation in New York City.

Peter is Vice President of Claims in the Commercial Risk Services Division for the ACE Group, one of the world’s largest multiline property and casualty insurers. With operations in 53 countries, ACE provides commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance and life insurance to a diverse group of clients. The Commercial Risk Services Division, which is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, offers specialty insurance products and solutions for small businesses through several distribution channels. Peter joined ACE in 2012 and is based in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he collaborates with the ACE North America claims division providing oversight in the management of Professional Liability, Property, General Liability and Workers Compensation claims. He also oversees claims managed by Third Party Administrators. Before joining ACE, Peter served as the Northeast Regional Director of Counsel at The Hartford, managing the company’s in-house litigation attorneys in New York and New England. His team of 140 managing attorneys, litigators and support staff handled a pending inventory of 8,000 litigated General Liability and Workers Compensation cases. In his 9-year tenure at The Hartford, he also managed the company’s claims quality program for the Auto and General Liability lines overseeing quality audits at the company’s claims field offices throughout the United States and reporting results and recommendations to the claims leadership team. Before that role, Peter managed the Employment Practices, Miscellaneous Professional, and Architects & Engineers liability claims at Hartford Financial Products in New York City. He also served as Bond Counsel at The Travelers, providing advice to underwriters in mitigating risk and drafting D&O, EPLI and Fiduciary insurance policies and endorsements. Peter earned his B.A. degree at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York and his J.D. at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. He practiced litigation, trial and appellate law at law firms in San Jose for more than 15 years representing financial institutions and insurance companies in coverage and liability lawsuits and class actions.

John Browning is the managing partner of the Dallas, Texas office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP, where he handles civil litigation in state and federal courts in areas ranging from employment and intellectual property to commercial cases and defense of products liability, professional liability, media law, and general negligence matters. Mr. Browning has extensive trial, arbitration, and summary judgment experience and has represented companies in a wide variety of industries throughout Texas and on a pro hac vice basis in other jurisdictions. Mr. Browning received his B.A. with general and departmental honors from Rutgers University in 1986, where he was a National Merit Scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1989. Some of his honors include being a 2009 and 2010 recipient of the prestigious Burton Award for Achievement in Legal Writing; rated "AV," the highest commendation issued by Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability, ethics, and professionalism; selected as a "Super Lawyer" in the field of Civil Ligation Defense (2005¬2010, Law & Politics); inducted as a Charter Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers; and elected to the American Law Institute (one of only seven lawyers in Texas elected in 2009). Mr. Browning is a noted legal writer, and is a frequent contributor to national and regional legal publications on a wide variety of subjects. His weekly syndicated newspaper column "Legally Speaking" has garnered numerous journalism awards. His book, The Lawyer's Guide to Social Networking: Understanding Social Media's Impact on the Law, was published in December 2010 by Thomson ReutersWest Publishing. He is a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the International Association of Defense Counsel, and also serves as an adjunct professor at SMU Dedman School of Law, where he teaches the course “Social Media and the Law.” He is the author of numerous articles on social media-related topics, and has been quoted as a national authority on the subject by the New York Times, TIME Magazine, Salon.com, Inside Counsel Magazine, Law 360, and other publications.

Mr. Beemer has 46 years in the insurance industry and is retired but continues to do consulting and expert witness work through Suite 200 Solutions.  Previously he was the VP of Claims at Tokio Marine HCC Insurance Group.  Prior to TMHCC, Mr. Beemer worked at IAT, QBE, Aetna, CNA, Home Insurance, Risk Enterprise Management and Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.   At QBE Mr. Beemer lead the liability claims department and the Litigation Management department for QBE.  He had direct oversight of Litigation Management, Transportation, GL, CD, TPA Services and Environmental claims.  Prior to QBE Mr. Beemer was the National Claim Director for Construction Defect, Latent Injury and Entertainment Claims at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. In his career he has been a chief technical officer, consultant to re-insurers, training coordinator, national accounts coordinator, litigation manager, legal auditor, claims and due diligence auditor, PMK, expert witness and has been a panel speaker at CLM and other industry events. He serves on  the Advisory Board for the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, has served as Dean of Litigation Management at Claims College and is a Chancellor and Professor at Litigation Management Institute. Mr. Beemer has authored numerous articles for Claims Management Magazine and Litigation Management Magazine. Mr. Beemer received the CLM Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023 at the Annual Conference in Tampa Florida.

Frank Chang is currently Director of Safety and Insurance Analytics at Uber, a group of data scientists and actuaries dedicated to making rare events even more rare. Frank has been at Uber since 2014.
Frank's career as a non-traditional actuary, however, began in 2012, when he joined Google as their first and Lead Actuary, responsible for pricing, reserving, credit and risk modeling.
Before Google, Frank worked in various traditional roles covering personal, commercial, and specialty lines pricing as well as reserving and reinsurance. The bulk of Frank's traditional actuarial career was spent at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.
Frank graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Music and a Ph.D. in Mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and will serve a three-year term on the CAS Board of Directors starting in November 2017.
