Jennifer Jordan

Biography

Jennifer Jordan is General Counsel and a founding member of MEDVAL, LLC, a national provider of Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) compliance services. Ms. Jordan is recognized as a leading authority on MSP compliance and has been designated as an expert witness by several large insurance companies and the United States Department of Justice for her extensive knowledge of MSP issues. Additionally, she serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Medicare Secondary Payer Charitable Foundation, an organization committed to elevating MSP education and easing the regulatory, administrative and financial burdens of post-settlement MSP compliance by offering low or no cost legal, medical and financial services to disabled Medicare beneficiaries.

Ms. Jordan is Editor-in-Chief of The Complete Guide to Medicare Secondary Payer Compliance, published by LexisNexis, and is the recipient of a 2010 Workers’ Compensation Notable Person Award, as well as 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Top 25 Workers’ Compensation Blog Awards from LexisNexis. In 2012, she was appointed to the Larson’s National Workers’ Comp Advisory Board. Ms. Jordan received her J.D. from the University of Baltimore, School of Law where she was a member of the Law Review and Editor-in-Chief of the University of Baltimore Intellectual Property Law Journal. She also received an MBA from the University of Baltimore, Robert G. Merrick School of Business and B.A.s in Economics and Fine Arts from Virginia Tech. Ms. Jordan is certified as a Medicare Set-Aside Certified Consultant (MSCC) and a Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional (CMSP).
