Biography
Jorge Gomez is Senior Vice President and General Counsel for LifeCare Assurance Company.
Gomez joined LifeCare in March 2015, bringing with him 25 years of regulatory experience in both government-sponsored health care and private health insurance.
A former litigator and prosecutor, Gomez has also served as general counsel for health insurers as well as property and casualty companies. He served a term as Insurance Commissioner of Wisconsin under Governor James Doyle, during which time he worked on senior issues with the NAIC on Medicare reform as well as Long Term Care. He is a Southern California native and a graduate of Pitzer College and the University of Wisconsin Law School.
