Ginny L. Peterson

Biography

Ginny Peterson serves as the chair of Kightlinger & Gray LLP’s Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Practice Group and on the firm's five member Management Committee. A Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) with extensive experience in pre-suit evaluation and litigation, Ginny's practice areas include general liability, property, life, disability and environmental insurance coverage, bad faith, professional liability defense litigation mainly of insurance agents and attorneys, insurance issues, environmental defense and appellate work in each of her practice areas.

Prior to practicing law, Ginny held underwriting, product development, and management positions with property casualty insurance carriers for 19 years and earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation in 1987. She has served in various leadership roles with the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial Insurance Practice Section. She has been selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers list published in Indiana Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2012 and was named as one of the Top 25 Female Attorneys in Indiana in 2015. She was inducted into the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel in 2015. Ginny has shared her knowledge with other legal and insurance professionals through published articles and presentations at numerous events.
