Biography

Mr. Zaralban received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in structures from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Zaralban’s extensive background in structural design aids him in investigating structural failures, construction and design defects, and building moisture problems. The emphasis of his structural design is in steel, concrete, and masonry structures for chemical, industrial, and municipal facilities. Mr. Zaralban has provided expert analyses of potentially defectively constructed roof structures, roof finishes, steel, aluminum, concrete, masonry and wood frame structures, exterior wall finishes (masonry, wood, stucco, and EIFS), windows and doors, stairs and railings, and elevated walkways and balconies. He is also a Structural Masonry Inspector and has expertise in the evaluation of pedestrian ingress/egress ways, including the evaluation of walkway slip resistance. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). Mr. Zaralban has provided expert testimony with regard to civil engineering.
