Biography

Carl is a senior casualty claims consultant with Marsh’s Claims Practice in New York. His primary responsibilities involve developing, implementing, and communicating custom claims service programs. Carl is a strong client advocate who works to interpret complex coverage issues and to assist clients and colleagues with large loss negotiations and settlements. His other skills include analyzing loss data & benchmarking; providing claims management training and performing claim reviews and audits - all are done with an eye towards reducing a client’s total cost of risk. Carl is the National Retail, Wholesale, Food & Beverage Industry Practice Claim Leader. He is also an active member of the Construction and Life Sciences industry practices.

Carl has over 18 years of experience as a broker claim consultant and over 10 years experience with insurance carriers. During the course of his career he has worked as a Team Leader; Sr. Consultant and Complex Claim Technical Specialist. His experience includes primary and excess Commercial General Liability policies including London, Bermuda & manuscript forms; multi-state Workers Compensation primary and excess coverage as well as commercial auto fleet coverage. He has created and presented claim training seminars for clients and internal employees. His industry experience includes chemical; construction; healthcare; manufacturing; pharmaceutical; retail; tobacco and transportation.
