Biography

Julio E. Martinez is the National Managing Partner of Workers’ Compensation at Gilson Daub. Based out of Orange County, Calif., Julio provides strategic oversight of the firm’s workers’ compensation practice across all jurisdictions. He works closely with executive leadership and regional partners to establish national practice standards, align litigation strategy, advance attorney development, and ensure operational consistency across offices. His focus remains steadfast on expanding the firm’s platform and delivering efficient, results-driven defense solutions for employers, carriers, and third-party administrators nationwide.
 
A seasoned professional, Julio has practiced workers’ compensation law since becoming an attorney in 2007 and he handles all aspects of workers’ compensation defense. Earlier in his career, he represented injured workers in workers’ compensation and employment-related matters, giving him a well-rounded perspective and deep understanding of the applicant’s position - insight he leverages to achieve strategic and effective outcomes for his clients.
 
Julio earned his Bachelor of Science from UCLA and his Juris Doctor from Pacific Coast University, School of Law. He is a sought-after speaker at many industry events throughout the year, he holds the prestigious Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) designation from CLM’s Litigation Management Institute, and he proudly serves as a Board Member of the Hispanic Insurance & Risk Management Association (HIRMA).
