Cathie McGrath brings both a lifetime in the construction industry as well as a law degree to her position as Senior Vice President of Construction Claims at Alliant Insurance Services. Cathie has been providing claims management services for over 29 years. An accomplished attorney and the daughter of the founder of a large trade contractor in New York City, Cathie's unique blend of life experience and professional expertise make her an invaluable asset to construction clients and wrap-up programs. Cathie has responsibility for managing the NY based eastern region claim service center and the team of claim professionals that are dedicated to Alliant’s construction clients. She is responsible for all aspects of the claims advocacy services for large construction trade contractors, national construction / development accounts and comprehensive Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIPs) and Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIPs), from initiation through implementation and conclusion.
Cathie had a solid track record working on national accounts with loss sensitive programs. Cathie possesses in-depth expertise on NY Labor Law issues, Additional Insured and Contractual Indemnification issues, negotiating claim disputes, coverage analysis and brings her legal knowledge to bear for clients in order to maximize insurance coverage and reach settlements as quickly end cost effectively as possible.
Cathie’s professional Affiliations include CHIEF, Professional Women in Construction (PWC) and Claims Litigation Management (CLM), Women’s Builders Council, New York State Self Insured Association, Long Island Claims Associateion, New York Claims Association. Cathie was named one of Long Island’s Top 50 Women in Business in 2017.
Cathie received her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Michael’s College and received her Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
