Biography

Edward is an experienced trial lawyer with an emphasis on defending construction general liability claims and prosecuting large dollar subrogation and declaratory relief cases.

He has successfully represented general contractors, developers, subcontractors and engineers in construction accident and defect claims. Edward has tried 19 cases and he recently tried and won a defense verdict on behalf of Los Angeles World Airport ("LAX") in a multi-million dollar construction negligence claim.

Edward also regularly represents insurance carriers and its insures in subrogation, declaratory relief and bad faith actions against carriers that do not comply with their fiduciary and contractual obligations.

Edward is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, as well as the Million Dollars Advocates Forum. He is also a frequent lecturer on topics regarding construction law, additional insured obligations, the defense of catastrophic injury cases, and the tripartite relationship between the insured, its carrier, and defense counsel.
