Biography
ROBERT M. FREEDMAN is a retired Partner of Tharpe & Howell, LLP and managed its Commercial Litigation and Transaction Practice at the Los Angeles office. Mr. Freedman has established a new law firm called Freedman Law Firm with offices in Beverly Hills and Calabasas.
Mr. Freedman's litigation experience includes Federal and State jury and bench trials, mediations, arbitrations, class-actions, administrative proceedings and appeals.
Mr. Freedman's legal practice includes: Residential, Commercial and Public Works Real Estate and Construction Litigation. This includes catastrophic losses, personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, construction defects, business interruption, enviromnetal, insurance covrage and bad faith, and real estate and construction transactions. He also handles business litigation and transactions including being general counsel for a number of companies, and has experience in labor and employment, business transactions, business entities, unfair competition, intellectual property, online sales and marketing, vendor/ supplier disputes, and commercial matters in China, Mid-East, Europe and Mexico. Transactions include strategic business planning; licensing agreements, employment contracts, partnership agreements, confidentiality and non-competition agreements, asset sales and mergers, real estate,
Mr. Freedman is active with CLM. He is a graduate of the Litigation Management Institute, and among other things has authored articles for CLM, one on Neutral Evaluations and the other on the Using Social Media Evidence in Litigation.
