Phyllis Modlin

Biography

Phyllis Modlin is a Director and Senior Counsel with the Construction Complex Claims team of Markel. Ms. Modlin received her B.A. degree from University of California at Santa Barbara and her J.D. degree from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. She handles complex primary and excess construction claims (both defect and catastrophic bodily injury) in the United States. Ms. Modlin is responsible for all aspects of claims handling, including damages, liability, coverage, reserving, risk transfer, litigation management, expense control measures and claims resolution.
