David M. McLain is a founding member of Higgins, Hopkins, McLain & Roswell, LLC, a Denver-based law firm that focuses on construction law and construction litigation throughout Colorado. Since founding the firm in 2001, Mr. McLain has helped build HHMR into one of Colorado's premier construction litigation firms, representing developers, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and insurance carriers in complex construction and commercial disputes.

Mr. McLain graduated cum laude from Colorado State University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is a Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) through the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and has spent more than two decades defending construction professionals and their insurers in some of Colorado's largest and most complex construction defect lawsuits.

In addition to defending litigation, Mr. McLain advises clients on risk avoidance, claim prevention, contract strategy, litigation management, and early dispute resolution. His clients include national and regional homebuilders, custom builders, developers, subcontractors, and numerous domestic and international insurance carriers.
