Biography

Scott D. Pfeiffer has extensive experience in state and federal courts throughout the nation.  He is licensed in the Supreme Court of Illinois.  He is a Trial Bar member of the Northern District of Illinois and is admitted to practice in the Southern District of Illinois, Northern District of Indiana and the District of Colorado.  He has also been admitted pro hac vice in 12 separate jurisdictions. 
His practice focuses predominantly on litigation, with an emphasis on product liability, tort, drug and medical device, premises liability and toxic tort/environmental.
He is a board member of The National Forum for Environmental & Toxic Tort Issues and the editor of its newsletter and has spoken on the topics of the coal workers’ pneumoconiosis and diacetyl litigation.  He has also served as a panelist at The Chicago Bar Association’s program on the topic of mastering Section 2-615 Motions to Dismiss.
Along with the CLM, Mr. Pfeiffer is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Western Loss Association and Loss Executives Association.
