Biography

Throughout her 30 year career as insurance professional, Kristy has served as claims operation branch manager, account manager, and producer.  Professionally, she has experience in all lines of insurance coverage, with workers’ compensation and innovative applications as her main areas of expertise.
Kristy recently served her third year as the City Leader for Dive In Miami, A Lloyds of London global initiative, promoting diversity and inclusion in the insurance industry.  She has spoken on bias in the workplace, gender advancement, personal brand and generations in the workplace.  She is also a founding member of Include@GB, Gallagher Bassett’s E,I&D initiative.
Kristy is the winner of the 2018 Comp Laude Awards - People’s Choice award for “6 Minutes”, her talk on how the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting affected her family and community and taught her valuable lessons on resilience.  She served as a panelist and moderator at WCI, Florida RIMS, and National PRIMA on industry topics such as return to work alternatives, loss control and overall health and wellness from a workers’ compensations claims perspective and communications following catastrophe.  She is a 2018 In Touch award winner and 2020 nominee, as a “Woman Leading the Way” in the Florida Workers’ Compensation market. Kristy also serves on the boards of WCI Gives Back/Give Kids the World.
Kristy has her BA in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh, and enjoys her work with college students as a trainer and advisor for Greek organizations at the University of Miami and Pitt.
