Patricia (Pat) Sheveland is a longstanding leader in the Workers Compensation insurance industry responsible for development and execution of the Workers Compensation strategic business plan for State Auto Insurance Companies. She led the merger of RTW, Inc.'s claim organization with the State Auto's Workers Compensation department in 2009. She was also responsible for implementation and integration of an enhanced claim management model with RTW's proprietary ID15® and nurse case management model.As a Registered Nurse, Pat started her Workers' Compensation career as a nurse case manager gradually moving into the claim administration side of the business. She has held various leadership positions in her career, including executive role responsibilities in the medical and claim management areas for RTW. She also held the interim position of RTW's Human Resources Director for a period of time pre-acquisition by State Auto.Ms. Sheveland is currently the Assistant Vice President/Director of State Auto Insurance Companies' Workers Compensation claim organization and has obtained her certification as a Workers Compensation Claim Professional (WCP) designation through the American Society of Workers Compensation Professionals (AMCOMP). Ms. Sheveland is currently completing her studies at MentorCoach®, LLC for certification in life and business coaching through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Pat volunteers for the Children's Grief Connection (a Minnesota-based non-profit organization) and is co-founder of an annual event in her community to raise funds to support the local cancer center and to provide financial assistance for area residents who are undergoing cancer treatment.
