Jeffrey Mahon

Biography

Jeff is approaching 30 years of experience with insurance and the law.  For almost 18 years, he practiced as a civil trial attorney in the State of Texas specializing in insurance defense litigation and coverage analysis.  He graduated with a B.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University and received his J.D. from Baylor School of Law. Currently, Jeff serves as the South Zone Claim Executive.  His focus is on promoting AIG Claims as a competitive differentiator by providing local resolution of complex claims issues and offering clients & broker access to Claims management.  Within the South Zone, he is the single point of contact across all lines of business to facilitate resolution of claim issues and concerns raised by clients, brokers and AIG colleagues.  Additionally, he is responsible for managing and conducting Claims Advisory Boards (”CAB”) for the branch offices within the South Zone.  Finally, Jeff is a member of the South Zone’s Executive Committee where he is the “voice of claims” for South Zone strategy discussions and directives.
 
While most of  Jeff’s 10 plus years with AIG have been focused on claims and litigation management, he also recently spent 3 years as part of the AIG underwriting team serving as the West and Gulf Coast’s  Regional Practice Leader for Excess Casualty National Accounts.
