Kenton Kaplan

Biography

Kenton Kaplan, Senior Vice President, joined Claim Professionals Insurance Company, RRG (CPLIC) in 2018.  In addition to overseeing daily operations, Kenton focuses his efforts on automation and process improvement, lead generation and marketing, as well as compiling and analyzing data metrics and performance indicators to improve data driven decision making.  CPLIC is a Risk Retention Group providing Errors and Omissions, Business General Liability, and Employment Practices Liability Insurance to independent claim professionals, consultants and all others in the insurance services industry throughout the United States. Prior to joining CPLIC, Kenton held the position of AVP Claim Counsel and Corporate Litigation with IAT Insurance Group, Inc. for 15 years. IAT Insurance Group, Inc. is a privately held group of underwriting companies providing primarily transportation related and special risk insurance products. Kenton oversaw the Company’s legal department, providing in-house legal support to all departments and locations within the organization, as well as managing the Company’s claim coverage litigation and extra-contractual exposures. 
 
Kenton graduated with honors while receiving a B.A. from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas.
