Biography
Scott Essman is the Casualty Complex Claims Leader for Westfield Insurance Company. The Complex Claims Group is responsible for technical supervision of casualty severity losses throughout Westfield’s operating territory. Based in the Home Office Operation for Westfield located in Westfield Center, OH, he is responsible for the strategic oversight, planning, and execution of this unit’s processes, programs and guidelines. In addition he serves as a technical consultant to business partners with Westfield’s operations including Commercial and Personal lines product, Commercial and Personal lines underwriting, Claims Research & Development, Quality Compliance and Reinsurance, and Claims Legal Support Services. Mr. Essman’ s prior roles include Casualty Discipline Leader, Regional Claims Analyst, Complex Claims Analyst, District Claims Manager, Field Claims Supervisor and Claims Representative. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with over 20 years of experience in the claim insurance industry.
