Linda August

Biography

Linda has been in the insurance business since 1982. She started with American International Adjustment Company in Colorado as a small claims adjuster on personal property damages (homeowners and auto), commercial liability, and worker’s compensation losses. After moving back to the Chicagoland area, she became a part of the adjusting staff for Bekins Van Lines in 1987 as a National Account Adjuster for personal household goods shipments and then advanced to Catastrophic Adjuster. In 1992, she became a Senior Adjuster for Allied Van Lines handling catastrophic claims in the cargo claims area.

Linda joined Transguard in 1995. Her responsibilities range from high exposure, fatalities, serious and/or multiple injuries, general liability bodily injury, and suit files. In addition, her responsibilities as Senior Adjuster consist of training adjusters, monthly reporting, file reviews, and attending mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.

Linda is currently licensed in the states of Texas, Georgia, Maine, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Delaware, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Mexico, Rhode Island Connecticut, Georgia and Vermont. She has also been certified through the National Moving and Storage Association as a Certified Claims Analyst.

Linda also achieved designation of AIC and AIS in 2011.
