Biography
Shiraz Saeed joined Starr Companies in January 2017 as the national practice leader for Cyber Risk responsible for the strategic direction and expansion of the Cyber Risk products and services.
Prior to joining Starr, he served as a cyber specialist within the financial lines division for an international company. During his tenure there, he quickly assumed greater responsibilities for underwriting, product development and distribution. He eventually led the cyber risk team and instructed many training programs. Shiraz regularly presents on cyber risk topics at industry and trade events.
Through his experiences, Shiraz has worked to create, maintain and grow relationships with partners from all sides. Prior to joining the insurance industry, he worked in the retail and real estate sectors for ten years in various business development and management roles. He has earned a reputation as someone who understands complexity of the risks businesses face from a technical and organizational perspective. He combines his understanding with an ability to develop solutions to mitigate cyber risks for small, mid-size and large organizations.
Shiraz holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Hofstra University and a M.B.A. with a focus on Strategic Management from Pace University Lubin School of Business.
