Christian Bogart

Biography

Christian graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a minor in English in 1991. He received a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University College of Law in 1994, and was admitted to practice law in Louisiana the same year. He joined Duplass in 1998, and was named as a partner in the firm in 2000. Christian was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2009.
Christian’s law practice includes defending a significant number of lawsuits involving trucking and automobile accidents, UM and bad faith claims, CGL claims, governmental and municipal claims, medical malpractice claims, E&O claims, and worker’s compensation claims, having tried 30+ jury and judge cases to verdict.
He also focuses a portion of his practice in representing governmental entities, and defending retailers, restaurant groups, commercial property owners, and hoteliers throughout Louisiana for commercial auto, commercial general liability, and workers’ compensation claims.
Christian is a frequent lecturer on a variety of legal topics including alternative fee agreements, file management and the use of project management software, litigation discovery and early resolution techniques, and mediation strategy in Louisiana.
Professional Affiliations
Christian is a member of the Louisiana State Bar and is licensed to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal Courts, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Christian is also a member of the Texas State Bar and licensed to practice in all Texas State Courts. He is a member of Louisiana State and Texas Bar Associations, Jefferson Parish Bar Association, Claims and Litigation Management (CLM) Alliance, Defense Research Institute (DRI), and National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association, in which he is a member of the workers’ compensation committee
