Howard Shafer

Biography

Howard has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and corporate liability defense field. Howard is Managing Partner of Shafer Partners, LLP and President of Your House Counsel (R), The National Consortium of Highly Regarded Insurance and Corporate Liability Defense Law Firms.

Howard has received an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized as a New York Super Lawyer since 2006. Since 2009 he has been selected for the Corporate Counsel Edition. He is also a Past New York State Chair of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and a Past Chair of the Corporate Counsel Section of the New York State Bar Association. Howard’s cases have been reported in both Federal and State reporters and his articles have appeared in a number of legal publications. He has lectured on various subjects in his field and recently Chaired the Sixth Corporate Counsel Institute, co-sponsored by the Corporate Counsel Section and the Committee on Continuing Legal Education of the New York State Bar Association in New York City.
