Biography
Michael J. (“Maz”) Mazurczak is a senior partner and trial attorney at Boston-based Melick & Porter, LLP and has over three decades of insurance defense experience. Under his leadership, Melick & Porter has developed into one of the leading trial practices in New England. Maz recently received “Lawyer of the Year” honors in insurance litigation in the 2024 Edition of "The Best Lawyers in America." Over the last twenty years he has worked with clients on a national basis to develop and implement ADR programs to effectively manage employment practices litigation. Maz is passionate about creative dispute resolution strategies and sharing his experiences with others. He is native of Wisconsin and a graduate of Marquette and Marquette Law School. He is a generous supporter of St. Francis House, a day shelter for homeless and disadvantaged citizens. Outside the office and his charitable endeavors, Maz will be found with his family and their dogs, Jester and Bo. He is also a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers ( a “Cheesehead”), and is proud to be so recognized.
