Robert Weingarten

Biography

Rob has been with Certus since the formation of the construction claims division in March of 2013. Rob is responsible for directing, managing and implementing the handling procedures for the construction defect and casualty claims and the nursing home/ALF claims. Additionally, Rob provides direct supervision and management over the litigated and non-litigated claims involving large exposures, complex issues, coverage issues and direct actions. Prior to joining Certus, Rob held various adjusting and management positions with AIG and Midlands. Before that, he worked as a paralegal and associate attorney focusing on insurance defense matters, including complex construction defect litigation, construction casualty lawsuits, and employment law. Rob graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies in 1995 from the University of California at Berkeley. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2007 from Whittier Law School. Rob is a former member of the American Bar Association, as well as the Los Angeles and Orange County Bar Associations, the State Bar of California (inactive), and is a Fellow with the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
