Biography

Andy Thornton serves as the Southeast Zone Casualty Claims Leader for Marsh. In this role, Andy is responsible for casualty claims advocacy across the zone for all clients. He manages a team of approximately 20 colleagues. His areas of focus include casualty, professional, and international claims. He also has expertise in TPA operations, vendor selection, litigation management, and subrogation. 
 
Andy joined Marsh in 2024. He has over 20 years of claims experience in various technical and leadership positions. His experience includes claims leadership roles at ESIS, Amazon, Ferguson Enterprises, and Federated Insurance. Andy has worked on both the carrier/TPA side and with two Fortune 500 companies during his career with a focus on reducing claims costs and improving bottom lines and understands the significance of client expectations and outcomes. Andy has extensive expertise in trucking litigation, management of outside counsel, and project management.

Andy is a frequent speaker at local and national conferences.
