James Early

Biography

James M. Early, CSSC, CLMP; Executive Vice President, is Ringler’s National Sales Director.  He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  After service as an Armor Officer in the U.S. Army, he began his insurance career as a Claim Representative with the Insurance Company of North America in Milwaukee, WI in 1977.  He served with INA (later CIGNA) in a number of claim capacities, returning to his native New England as Manager of the Providence Office and as a Unit Manager in Boston.

  In 1984 he joined the Providence-Washington Insurance Company as the Assistant Regional Claims Manager before entering the Structured Settlement field in 1985.  In 1996 he received his certification as a Certified Structured Settlement Consultant. The CSSC designation is granted following successful completion of a course of study established by the National Structured Settlement Association and the University of Notre Dame.  He recently completed the Course of Study through the Claim and Litigation Management Alliance at Columbia School of Law and has been designated a Certified Litigation Management Professional.

  During his career as a broker, Mr. Early arranged for over 5000 structured settlements in all 50 United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada, in personal injury and similar type claim settlements, many including complex Trust, Medicare and Medicaid issues, mass torts, catastrophic injury and environmental claims.  He is a frequent presenter on ethics in structured settlements for both the insurance and legal field seminars.
 

Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Almond appointed Mr. Early to the Governor’s Insurance Council in October 1997. Mr. Early was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association in 2001. He was Ringler Associates Top Producer in 2005. He was elected by the Associates to a seat on the Ringler Associates Board of Directors in 2006. Mr. Early was elected for a second time to the Board of Directors of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association in 2007, a term which included membership on the Executive Committee. In 2009 Mr. Early was appointed as Senior Vice President with responsibility for Ringler operations in the Eastern U.S. In 2012 Mr. Early was appointed as Executive Vice President and National Sales Director with responsibility for all the agency operations nationwide. He has coached youth hockey and baseball and is a former Director of the Bretton Woods (NH) Ski Team.
