Michael Anderson is the National Sr. Complex Claims Manager overseeing the Dedicated National Construction Defect Group for Liberty Mutual. Michael has overall responsibility for delivering Liberty’s Construction Commercial Market claim services countrywide for its general liability customers.

Previously, Michael was the Vice President of a National Recovery Center for Travelers Insurance Company located in Massachusetts. There he was responsible for overseeing an organization that when benchmarked, was rated “best in class” among large, national P & C carriers.

Prior to these positions, Mr. Anderson served in various operational and claims management positions with Travelers and Aetna Insurance, including overseeing the New England Region National Accounts for contractor and general liability claims, the Coverage Unit, where he was responsible for all coverage determinations throughout the New England region, as well as managing Workers Compensation and the Operations team.

Mr. Anderson obtained his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, graduating with an economics degree.
