Biography
Ms. Mickey S. deLaup graduated from LSU Law School in 1981 and has been a litigation and insurance defense attorney for the last 38 years. She is the Owner of Mickey S. deLaup, APLC, a lawfirm which specializes in the defense of insurance defense claims including construction claims, public entity claims in state and federal court, premises liability, product liability, and other litigation matters throughout the state of Louisiana. Ms. deLaup is active in the legal community and currently serves as the President of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel for the 2018-2019 year. She is a past president of the Jefferson Bar Association. She has served many terms for the Louisiana State Bar Association Board of Governors and House of Delegates. Ms. deLaup has been chosen as Louisiana Super Lawyer and Top Attorney in Louisiana for several years. She was selected to the City Business Leadership in Law class of only 50 attorneys selected in the New Orleans area. She has trained and practiced as a mediator for local and national mediation groups.
