Starr Kincaid

Biography

Starr M. Kincaid has joined Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority as it's Legal Services Manager. Prior to joining MMRMA, Starr was in private practice, where she devoted the majority of her practice to the defense of professional liability and employment practices claims, including the defense of attorneys, real estate professionals, insurance professionals, miscellaneous E&O and employment-related claims. Starr has been selected as a "Top Lawyer" in the areas of legal malpractice defense and professional malpractice defense by DBusiness, Detroit's Premier Business Journal. She was also included as a top female attorney in Metro Detroit’s Hour Magazine, and has been consecutively named as a "Super Lawyer, Rising Star" for her work in the area of professional liability defense. Starr is actively involved in the legal community and has served on numerous state and local legal community committees and boards.  She currently serves as Chair of the State Bar of Michigan's Client Protection Fund Committee. Starr obtained her juris doctor, cum laude, from Michigan State University School of Law.  She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Michigan State University.
