Janeen Koch

Biography

Janeen Koch received her B.A. in Communications Studies from Virginia Tech in 1989 and her law degree from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1994.  Janeen is a partner at the law firm of Kalbaugh, Pfund & Messersmith, a civil litigation firm with four locations in Virginia, where she has been practicing since 1996.  Janeen’s practice is devoted to insurance defense matters and she handles a variety of insurance related cases including commercial general liability, product liability, premises liability and business automobile liability cases as well as insurance coverage litigation.  Her practice focuses primarily on catastrophic injury and death claims.  She has tried over 150 jury trials but has also obtained many successful resolutions for her clients through mediations.  She is admitted to practice law before all of the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.  She has been recognized by her peers with the AV preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
