Biography

Charles (Chuck) Tetunic is a Shareholder with Upchurch, Watson, White & Max and has been a Mediator in South Florida since 1994.  He has mediated more than 6,000 cases, specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance claims, and construction litigation.  His objective is to bring passion, compassion, and a sense of humor to each of his mediations.Prior to his mediation career, Charles was a Shareholder at Becker & Poliakoff where he was a trial attorney handling both personal injury and construction defect matters. He also served as Special Counsel to both the Broward Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Business Regulation. Early on he began his legal career with the NYC Department of Investigation, where he investigated white-collar crime and official corruption.  Thereafter he served as the Bronx Borough Chief in the Torts Division of the New York City Law Department. Charles earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from City College in New York. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted in Florida (1982) and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.
