Margaret Sherlock

Biography

Margaret is Vice President and Regional Director of Staff Counsel at Selective Insurance Company of America.  She is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial attorney and has been working in the insurance industry as a defense attorney for over 25 years.  Currently, Margaret is responsible for the management of two staff counsel offices located in NJ. She has succeeded in developing strong partnerships with her claims customers so as to achieve the best results for both clients as well as her claims customers. Margaret strives to ensure that she and her teams continuously provide recommendations for improved litigation strategies combined with reasoned business principles where attorneys are wholly aligned with adjusters in the litigation management process driving sound, economic results.  Margaret serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Council of Selective, as a Master of the Justice Morris Pashman Inns of Court and is a member of the Advisory Board for Josephine’s Place and NJ State Bar Association. Margaret has worked at Selective for 8 years and previously worked for Fireman’s Fund for 15 years. She is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and LeMoyne College.
