Biography

Samuel D. Carucci, Esq. is Allied World's Vice President of Claims and oversees a team of senior claims analysts who are responsible for handling the company's Primary, Excess and Umbrella General Casualty claims as well as Environmental, Construction and Global Defense Base Act claims.  Before joining Allied World in March of 2009, Mr. Carucci was a Complex Director at AIG Domestic Claims, Inc., where he managed high severity/high profile claims nationwide, often in the national spotlight. Mr. Carucci also practiced as an Appellate attorney for AIG with Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt, LLP in New York. Mr. Carucci earned his B.S. from Fairfield University in Connecticut, where he was a Congressional Scholar, and his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law, where he served as an Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. He has also been a panel member for the American Bar Association, and is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel.
