Adam Doherty

Biography

Adam manages the D&O claims team at Allied World, which is responsible for handling private and public directors and officers liability claims, crime claims, and fiduciary liability claims among others.  In addition, Adam continues to handle claims directly.  In this capacity he has direct contact with insureds, brokers, and underwriters throughout the claims process.
Prior to joining Allied World, Adam practiced insurance coverage litigation with Robinson & Cole, LLP in Hartford, Connecticut and specialized in property, directors and officers liability, professional liability, and commercial general liability disputes.  Prior to joining Robinson & Cole, Adam practiced in the areas of complex commercial litigation, medical malpractice defense, and general commercial litigation with Donahue, Durham & Noonan in Guilford, Connecticut.  Before that, Adam practiced with Wiggin & Dana as a litigator primarily in white collar crime and general commercial litigation where he participated in the defense of the federal government’s prosecution of accounting giant Arthur Andersen.
