Sari Marmur

Biography

Sari Marmur is the General Counselor of the Travelers Atlanta Claim Office.  She advises on coverage questions in both first and third party matters for personal and commercial lines.  Ms. Marmur also manages coverage litigation for the company.
Prior to joining Travelers, Ms. Marmur was a partner in two law firms in Atlanta concentrating on first-party coverage matters on behalf of insurers. She began her legal career as a teaching fellow at Georgetown Law Center.  She then joined the General Counsel’s office of the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C.  Before entering private practice, Sari prosecuted criminal cases as an Assistant United States’ Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.
Sari received her law degree from the Catholic University School of Law and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Skidmore College. She is past Chair of the Property Insurance Committee of the Tort Trial and Insurance Section (TIPS) of the ABA and past Co-Chair of the Section’s Women and Minority Involvement Committee.
