Dr. Heidi Hanna

Biography

Heidi Hanna is an Assistant Vice President, Claims at Auto-Owners Insurance Company in Lansing, Michigan.  She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ferris State University in 2007 graduating with the Highest Distinction and completed a community practice residency at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy the following year.  Heidi worked in retail pharmacy, ambulatory care, academia, specialty pharmacy management and consulting before joining Auto-Owners in 2013.  In her current position, Heidi leads Auto-Owners clinical team and is responsible for the company’s medical and pharmacy programs, including workers’ compensation, personal injury protection, and liability claims.     
 
Heidi is board certified in ambulatory care pharmacy (BCACP), a certified pain educator (CPE), and has earned the associate in claims (AIC) and group benefits associate (GBA) designations.  Throughout her career, Heidi has been very engaged in HIV care, residency programs, and student education.  She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor and Alumni Board of Directors member for Ferris State University College of Pharmacy.
