Biography
Ms. Jaffee holds a Juris Doctorate and has over nineteen years of legal and insurance experience. Lisa joined Gallagher Bassett Specialty (GB Specialty) in October 2019. At GB, she is responsible for developing practice group standards, best practices, as well as strategic and tactical approaches to expand GB’s footprint within the expanding cyber market.
Lisa has extensive experience managing and directly supervising first and third-party cybersecurity, technology and media liability litigation and pre-litigation claims against insured companies. She has been actively involved with the resolution of over 300 data breaches, in addition to actively resolving privacy-based lawsuits, with data incident and litigation within the United States and internationally.
Ms. Jaffee has also assessed and advised company management on high exposure and profile incidents, and has made appropriate settlement and litigation recommendations on strategies and likely valuations. She has assisted insureds with resolution of complex business interruption and network damage losses resulting from cybersecurity events. In addition, Lisa has collaborated with company business-side, to advise insurance underwriters, brokers, and risk management professionals on cybersecurity risk, across various industries and sectors ranging from emerging technologies to health care. She has provided support to insureds with cybersecurity planning, and post-incident remediation and cybersecurity policy adjustments; and has educated company employees on cybersecurity trends, litigation, and claims arising from global regulatory and case law developments.
Lisa has also published several articles and has participated on numerous presentations on cyber insurance issues.
