Mark Zirulnik

Biography

Mr. Zirulnik joined Zirulnik, Sherlock & DeMille, Staff Counsel of SICA, in 1988. As Managing Attorney, his responsibilities include direction ofthe worker's compensation staff and of legal files in the State of New Jersey.He personally appears in court to aggressively defend complex litigation, including cases before the Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court. He has served as past-chairperson of the Workers' Compensation committee for the NJ Defense Association. He is a member of the NJ Bar's Workers’ Compensation Executive Committee since 1980, serving as its legislative coordinator since 1998 and presently serving as its Chairperson. He serves on the NJ Commissioner of Labor Advisory Council and has been a member of ACCA. He exercises an active role in the field of Insurance Defense work and Worker's Compensation Law, continuing to lecture for the NJSBA/ CLE.  He presents at the New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Bench-Bar Conference as a speaker, at their mid-year conference as a panelist and has appeared as a panelist at the Interact legal/technology conference.  He has addressed the National Business Institute and the NJ Defense Association. He has authored articles for the NJ Law Journal, the NJ State Bar Workers' Compensation and the NJ Defense Association Newsletters. He was inducted into the "Inns of Court" in 1996 as a "Master of the Bench".  He was awarded the NJSBA Distinguished Legislative Service Award in 2001 and in 2008 again received this award.
