Biography

Jeff McKissack is President of Defense By Design in Dallas, Texas.  Jeff began his work in this field almost three decades ago working with an investigative reporter for ABC, CBS, and NBC National News dealing with stories involving both targeted and random acts of violence.In recent years, Jeff has become increasingly sought after in HR, Risk Management and Property Casualty conferences and conventions to address workplace violence issues as well as the liabilities associated with businesses that do not address these proactively.  Jeff has spoken the last two years at Dallas RIMS, HR Southwest, and recently addressed the national CPCU convention in 2013.  He is also a contributing writer to several state and national trade publications regarding this subject matter and conducts continuing education seminars to a wide variety of professionals, including those in the legal, medical, educational, human resource, risk management, insurance, financial, and real estate industries.Jeff continues to assist companies and corporations as well as non-profit institutions develop proactive policies and training to reduce liability and mitigate risk related to violence.
