Biography

As a Claims Director for York Risk Services, it is my responsibility to assure that our clients receive high-quality claims service.  I am available to our clients at all times to receive their claims-related questions or issues via phone or email.  When a question or issues arises, I work as a liaison between our client and our claim operations to assure that the question or the issue is appropriately answered or resolved in a timely manner. I am also available to the York Claims Analysts and Unit Managers for consultation on any claims-related questions.
I use formal quality audits and informal file reviews in order to verify that client-specific instructions are being followed and that best practices are being met.  The quality audits are a formal grading process used to review open and closed files for the analysts assigned to my accounts. The informal file reviews involve me looking through as many open files as possible as an extra set of eyes in addition to the Unit Manager.  If there are any files going off-track or if I see an analyst displaying any negative habits or trends, I work with the Unit Manager to address those issues.
I have 19 years of experience in the insurance industry, have my claims license in 25 states, and have extensive experience mediating cases, drafting complex coverage letters, and supervising. I am also experienced at setting up and participating in client file-reviews.  I am willing to travel to meet with our clients whenever and wherever they need me.I have been with York Risk Services in our Central Florida office since January of 2004, and I have served as Claims Director since October 2011.  Prior to that, I had served as a Claims Analyst, a Unit Manager, a Quality Analyst and as a Senior Complex Casualty Analyst in that order. 
Prior to joining York Risk, I held claims positions with North American Risk, Netrex Claims, and AIG Personal Auto Claims in the Central Florida market.  I was also a Commercial Lines Account Executive for an independent insurance agency in Owensboro, KY for two years.
