Angela Newsome is Vice President – Director of Field Operations, Litigation Management at Federated Insurance Companies. She leads litigation management strategies and oversees the resolution of complex, high-exposure claims nationwide, bringing over 21 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. Angela is widely recognized for her strategic leadership, talent development, and unwavering commitment to client service. Her strong negotiation tactics and ability to navigate challenging legal landscapes consistently result in favorable outcomes for clients and the organization.

Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Angela began her career with Federated on August 30, 2004, as a claims representative in the Atlanta Regional Processing Office. A graduate of Florida State University with degrees in Finance and Marketing, she has since advanced through a series of leadership roles, including Claims Team Supervisor, Regional Claims Manager, and multiple Vice President positions.

Angela monitors industry developments, engages with external organizations, and identifies emerging litigation trends to ensure Federated remains well-positioned in an evolving legal landscape.

Angela also plays a key role in Federated’s grassroots and advocacy initiatives through its partnership with the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), promoting industry awareness and supporting legislative engagement.
