Biography

John R. Venneman earned his BS in Business in Intermodal Transportation, as well as a USCG 3rd Mates license at the California Maritime Academy in 1995.  After sailing on Tankers, Tugs, and OSV’s he joined what is now VeriClaim Inc in 1997 as a Marine Surveyor.
Mr. Venneman went onto earn his MBA in Risk Management and Insurance from Georgia State University in 2007, and became a Certified Marine Surveyor in National Association of Marine Surveyors in 2008.  In 2009 he was reported to be the first US adjuster/surveyor to make it into Haiti after the quake, and conducted numerous damage as well as loss control surveys there post quake and during rebuilding.
Mr. Venneman has been involved in a multitude of cargo and loss control surveys spanning the globe, from Samoa to the West to Equatorial Guinea to the East, and Uruguay to the South, with cargos as diverse as pharmaceuticals to Nuclear power plants.  He is currently the Vice President of NAMS, and is domiciled in Atlanta, GA.
