Biography

A Dartmouth College (‘77) and Boston University School of Law (‘85) graduate, Kevin is a member at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, whose practice focuses on complex product liability litigation, including the defense of cases involving a variety of toxic materials, industrial machinery, pharmaceuticals and automotive defects.  He has nearly thirty (30) years of experience in defending numerous major manufacturers of asbestos-containing products in local, regional and national courts.  Additionally, Kevin has substantial experience in pharmaceutical litigation as well as the automobile product liability defense area.  He has extensive first chair trial experience in mass tort cases in several jurisdictions, and has appellate experience before the Massachusetts Court of Appeals and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
In asbestos litigation, Kevin has served as National Coordinating Counsel for several companies and has defended mining concerns, and manufacturers of insulation products, brakes and equipment, among others.  Previously he served as NCC for two pharmaceutical companies in the Fen/Phen litigation in thousands of cases, all of which were dismissed after successful Daubert rulings in state courts and the MDL.  Kevin is annually recognized as a “Top Attorney” in New England and Massachusetts, and has been a Martindell-Hubbell AV Preeminent rated attorney for more than a decade.
