Biography
Ty is a partner at McCathern, PLLC and is the go to “fixer” for McCathern’s most challenging and high-exposure litigation matters. Ty is a respected source of insight and information having presented on a variety of topics at national and regional conferences, authoring several published articles, as well as serving as a faculty member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM). In recognition for his accomplishments both in and out of the courtroom, Ty has been named to the esteemed list of “D Best Lawyers” in Dallas as well as being honored as a “Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly and Texas Lawyers magazines.
In addition to leading McCathern’s Restaurant & Hospitality Section, he has extensive experience on a national level counseling business partners in a variety of civil and commercial litigation matters, including D&O liability claims, construction defect disputes, dram shop liability, premises liability claims, catastrophic personal injury claims, employment disputes, mass tort and products liability claims, medical malpractice claims, collections, and breach of contract actions. Ty also routinely advises his business partners in a wide range of transactional matters, business entity formation issues, and corporate governance.
